Born in Delhi- 1943; Diploma in Fine Arts, College of Art, Delhi- 1964; Masters Degree in Vocal Indian classical-1962. Recipient of awards by AIFACS and Sahitya Kala Parishad, Delhi; Art Educationist Award byNDMC, Delhi; scholarships and fellowships by Ministry of Culture, India. National level Alva’s Varna Virasat Award by Alva ‘s Education Foundation Mangalore 2018, She has held 28 solo shows since 1965. Curated shows of Origin studio artists since 2014 onwards. Important once are “Music of the Spheres” and “ Song of the Divine” in Delhi , School Gallery in Amsterdam; Rebecca Hossack Gallery in London; Edith Cowen University, Perth; International Studio A.F.W.A. Fremantle “ Edge of Infinity”, Indigo Blue Art, Singapore;Aicon Gallery, Palo Alto, California, New York USA, SNO 89,Contemporary Art Project’’, Sydney Vesture of Being’, India International Centre, New Delhi, “Looking Within” by MOSA, Museum Of Sacred Art, Belgium.Selected participation in various exhibitions held in museums and galleries the world over namely in Tokyo, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Italy, Hungary, Denmark, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, South Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Mexico, Cuba, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Sydney, all curated by well known curators. Invited forArtist Residencies in Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Fremantle and Guyana. Collections in National Galleries in India and Malaysia; and various private collectors namely E.M. Schoo, Chester Hervitz, MOSA Belgium and many others. Studio and residence in N. Delhi
