Shrine Empire as a part of Delhi Contemporary Art Week (DCAW) 2026 is excited for yet another edition of celebrating contemporary art from the region and the collective spirit of Delhi-based galleries, coupled with stimulating conversation. 

The gallery brings together fourteen artists creating compelling works that engage with contemporary topics and methodologies – Amitava, Arun Dev, Awdhesh Tamrakar, Chris Basumatary, Divya Singh, Hema Shironi, Minal Damani, Paribartana Mohanty, Sajan Mani, Samanta Batra Mehta, Sangita Maity, Sarker Protick, Shanthtamani Muddaiah, Shivam Yadav.

The artists respond to current regional issues, including but not limited to rapid urbanisation, ecological crises, displacement & migration, and the politics of identity. The audiences will find both artworks that explore these themes directly, as well as those that speak to the same concepts through stories of the past and the future. Many of the presenting artists also challenge established aesthetic conventions, foregrounding process within their practice. Shrine Empire focuses this year’s DCAW display on bringing these exciting, developing practices from today in conversation with each other.
