Shrine Empire is pleased to inaugurate its new space in Defence Colony with ‘प्रक्रिया / Process’, an opening exhibition bringing together an expansive roster of artists in a special moment of convergence. Unfolding across mediums, concepts, themes, borders, and generations—a testament to the gallery’s dynamic programming—the exhibition foregrounds the often obscured act of making as both method and meaning, shaping its artists’ distinct visual vocabularies. Conceived alongside the gallery’s own spatial transition, ‘Process’ also reflects on the parallel work of building sustainable arts infrastructures, situating the act of making within a broader ecology of viewing practices.

Together, the selected works highlight distinct and unique methods across individual practices, tracing resonances, departures, diversities and points of simultaneities that encompass the contemporary. The politics of practice, materiality and moments drawn from artists’ own personal experiences chart a shared sensibility presenting a generative lens through which the practices may be encountered anew.
